Soft Feel. The new 2019 Pro V1x has also been reengineered to be faster from core to cover. Compared to Pro V1, Pro V1x will fly higher and achieve peak height farther downrange. This results in greater carry distance, a steeper angle of descent and less roll than Pro V1. Pro V1x will also have a slightly firmer feel than Pro V1.

Tweaking that gradient can result in better speed and a more consistent overall flight and landing pattern. The gradient on the cores for the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x reflect a change that sees the outer part of the core get firmer and the innermost part of the core get softer, said Titleist’s Mike Madson, senior vice president of golf ball research and development.
This type of design makes the Pro V1X a bit more durable than its Bridgestone counterpart. Price. Whichever ball of these two you choose, you can expect a similar hit to your budget. Both Bridgestone Tour B XS and Titleist Pro V1X belong to a higher price range and feature a similar price of about $50 for one dozen golf balls. Conclusion
The Pro V1 elevated just a bit easier than previous years and I thought maybe was spinning more off short irons. I also play both 2021 balls side by side for nine holes three different times and thought the Pro V1x was lacking a few yards of distance for me. Mostly, I really loved the sound/feel that the new Pro V1 made off my irons and wedges.
Those are 4 relatively different balls and depends on your needs. TP5 and ProV1 will be most similar but TP5X will be lowest spin and ProV1X will be highest spin. Plus there's your subjective needs and feel. Buy a sleeve of each and test and pick which one works best for you. Tbillings02 • 2 yr. ago.
New Pro V1 offers the greatest combination of speed, spin and feel in the game and is the best fit for the majority of golfers. Pro V1 features a mid-high, penetrating trajectory, low long game spin and high short game spin and very soft feel. New Pro V1x has a fast, high flight and delivers spin when and where a golfer wants it. Pro V1x is
Distance: The Pro V1x is designed to provide even more than the Pro V1, thanks to its higher spin rate. Control: The Pro V1x offers great control on the greens, just like the Pro V1. Ideal for high swing speeds: If you have a high swing speed, the Pro V1x may be a better choice for you than the Pro V1. Its higher spin rate can provide more
The new dimple patterns on the Pro V1 and Pro V1x are the first update in more than a decade, but they work better because of other performance enhancements throughout both balls. That includes
The ’09 Pro V1 and Pro V1x are slightly firmer than the ’07 version. I attribute this to the fact that the new ball is more durable and Titleist has sacrificed a bit of the softness to accomplish that. The difference is barely noticeable. Along with being a bit firmer, the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x spin a bit less than their older counterparts.
TESTED: Titleist Pro V1 vs Mail Order Golf Balls. What happened: On paper at least for driving distance there was a stand-out performer and that’s the Titleist Pro V1x, which was seven yards longer through the air than the rest of the balls. That’s a 3% gain in carry distance.

The Titleist Tour Speed was better than expected, but I really do not understand why they have brought this golf ball out. They already have the Tour Soft and Velocity targeting the mid-range market and the Pro V1, V1x and AVX are catering for the premium end of the ranges so I am a little confused as to what they are trying to gain.
Here the Taylormade Tp5x and Titleist Pro V1x have slight differences in the feel. Both of these models provide ample pace for putting and chipping. But the Pro V1x feels softer when chipping than the Tp5x. And when it comes to putting, there weren’t any massive differences you can figure out.

ProV1x will spin a ton on mid irons, TP5X will spin much much less. Both balls perform/spin well around the green, but there is an absolute edge to the ProV1x as far as stop and pop. Both are fairly low spin in the long game, but the TP5x spins less off driver IMO.
The Pro V1 ball does feel fractionally softer than the Pro V1x, which is especially noticeable around the green. The Pro V1x has a slightly more clicky sound, which many good players prefer, especially on and around the greens.
It features flight characteristics very similar to Pro V1x (high flight), and a higher compression design, which deliver both lower spin and a firmer feel than both Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Titleist R&D originally suspected that Left Dash would suit a small segment of aggressive, fast-swinging players who impart high spin on all shots tee-to-green
